Having long wanted to experience flying in an old biplane with open cockpit (going all the way back to reading Biggles books as a kid), I get to tick this one off the bucket list.
Arranged for me by amigo Allan, who knows the pilot, Pete, who took me for a spin, including loop the loops, and barrel rolls.
Not the Sopwith Camel I had imagined, but a Bücker Yungmann, a German designed plane. This one was made under licence in Spain, from where Pete bought it, and flew it back to the UK, and which apparently was once part of Franco's Airforce!
Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast!
