Now that I no longer have milk in my coffee and there is no chocolate-dusted frothy foam on top, the venue for this particular cup is clearly revealed in the oily-black surface of my beverage.
At least the roof of the venue is, but it is no ordinary roof.
This was as unexpected and pleasing find, and a strong contrast to the white porcelain cup and Formica tabletop.
